Norbert says:
The wine of the vintage?? One can still say with certainty, in any case, the 2004 can compete with the 2005 and the 1998. This crimson to black pavie, 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, boasts sensational aromas of sweet, pure black fruit marinated in alcohol, interwoven with smoky liquorice, iron and toasted oak. It is full-bodied and exceptionally clear, outlined with aggressive tannins and acidity, but powerful extract and complex concentration. The distinction of the terroir is clearly noticeable here. Expected maturity now until 2040.
