The Wachenheimer Odinstal is at an altitude of up to 350 meters, making it the highest single site in Mittelhaardt. The somewhat cooler temperatures caused by this allow the grapes to ripen on a low flame. This creates very filigree, subtle aromas. The vineyards have been cultivated organically since the early 1990s. Biodynamic since 2006. The Hensel family acquired the winery in 1998 and, together with the congenial manager Andreas Schumann, have been uncompromisingly committed to quality ever since. Expected maturity now until 2025.
