2015 Lenz Riesling

Even the cheap entry-level qualities already show what makes this winery special, a very fine minerality, dreamlike filigreeness, Riesling can be a ballerina, can dance playfully, so perfectly as here it is incredibly rare. The 2015 inspires! The wine world has been singing the praises of Werner Schönleber for years, forgetting that his son Frank has been in charge of the cellar since 2006. Showing a lot of charm, ripe European fruit, totally clean, no botrytis. In the mouth the fruit runs completely, apple, pear, melon, lemongrass, less citrus fruit, some orange zest. Expected maturity now until 2027.
