2003 Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé
2003 Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé
Norbert says:
This estate, with one of the most valued terroirs in St. Emilion, has been managed by the couple Chantal and Gerard Perse since 1997. They have invested enormous sums in the vineyard as well as in the cellar and have not looked at any costs in order to produce the best possible wine. Reduced yields, vinification in small open oak fermenters, bottling without fining or filtration. Strong ruby red, violet reflections, delicate lightening of the edges, delicate hints of mint, but also underlaid with balsamic, some kitchen vegetables, individual bouquet. Robert Parker Jr. gave this wine 98 out of 100 points. Estimated maturity now until 2035.
