Norbert says:
It is a well-known fact that Philipp Wittmann produces top-class Rieslings. But the Rheinhesse also has a soft spot for the Burgundy family. He elicits a lot of format from his Pinot Blanc and puts it on a par with top wines from Bourgogne in terms of quality. This reserve quality was introduced in fillet pieces from Westhofen's top locations. The wine matured on the yeast in barriques and in half-cuts for more than 15 months. Delicate roasted notes can be felt on the nose, creaminess, a fine play of acidity and a gentle minerality develop on the tongue. Expected maturity now until 2028.
