2007 Gigonda's "Le Poste"

The dreamy village of Gigondas, which has as many dogs as cats and residents, is sheltered below the Dentelles de Montmirail, a unique formation of rugged limestone cliffs that protrude vertically, steeply and jagged from the earth. 2007 was a so-called vintage of the century. Parker gives the 2007 Le Poste a 100 out of 100. A top year, although a hot summer took its toll on the vineyards, a great full-bodied, vigorous and exemplary Gigondas was produced. Estimated maturity now until 2035.
