Norbert says:
Even Angelo Gaja could not resist the fascination of the Maremma. His latest stroke of genius is a modern winery near Bolgheri, a stone's throw from Sassicaia. Inspired by this famous example, he bought the land in 1996 and joked that he might name his first Maremma wine Sassicaia. Even the architecture of the winery, which is almost invisibly integrated into the vineyards when viewed from the Via Bolgherese, is spectacular. Radiant straw yellow. Initially on the nose, nuances of mint, freshly cut grass and yellow stone fruit. Expected maturity now until 2025.
